Choosing A Suitable PAT Testing Company
There are several factors to consider when selecting a PAT testing company; price shouldn't be the only one. Some of these factors are:
1. Is the PAT Testing employee performing their duties correctly?
2. Is he or she unscrewing the plugs to examine them for any wiring flaws?
3. Is the person examining the appliance attentively to look for any damage to the body, flex, flex inlet, plug, etc.?
4. Is he or she making sure the fuse installed is the right one for that appliance?
5. Is he or she electrically testing the equipment's safety with the appropriate test instruments?
6. Does your PAT Testing asset report include every test result for every electrical equipment that has been examined?
You've probably been duped by monkeys if your PAT Testing provider hasn't completed or has skipped most of these checks and you're paying peanut-level prices for their services.
Because we are providing a service that is done correctly and always follows the most recent Code of Practice by the IET, we regional self-employed PAT testing providers charge a higher price than UK-wide companies.
PAT Testers like me, have undergone training to do it right. I've taken a speciality course designed just for this industry. I never take short cuts.
You can always be sure that the PAT Testing service you receive is performed to the the highest standard when you choose a professional like me to undertake it.
